Interior Trim

Interior trim and molding can drastically improve the look of your home and are an essential element in any home renovation. Interior trims help accentuate other design elements in the room, such as surrounding furniture, lighting, and decorations. They can highlight specific areas of a room to give more of a focal point of attention, adding extra detail that helps capture a room’s design. Interior trims sure do look nice, but they can also be a pain to install… and that’s where we come in. We’re experts at installing all types of interior trim, from crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, chair rails, door/window trims, and more.

To help get a better understanding of the different types of interior trims and moldings, we created a brief list to explain the differences between the types of frame.

Crown Molding – A decorative trim that is typically used to finish off the top of walls and ceilings. We install along the ceiling line to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to a room.

Coffered Ceiling – A type of ceiling that consists of a pattern of sunken panels, creating an elegant and formal look. They are usually installed in high-end homes and commercial buildings.

Baseboard – Strips of wood, metal, or other material that are used to cover the gap between the wall and floor to help create a smooth transition between the two.

Chair Rail – A piece of trim usually installed at the wall’s midpoint, typically used to protect the wall from scuffs caused by furniture, and adds a nice decorative element to the home.

Wainscoting – A wall covering that is used to add texture and depth to a room, typically installed along the lower half of the wall. Wainscotings can come in different styles, including paneling, beadboard, and shiplap.

Casing – A trim that goes along a window and wall to help cover the gap between the two. It creates a nice edge around a window and can come in different types of moldings.
